Booking Terms and Conditions
Introduction
Please read these terms and conditions (“Conditions”) carefully before booking your accommodation. When you make a booking and pay the deposit, a legally binding contract is made, and you will receive a booking confirmation. Please ensure you take out adequate travel and cancellation insurance in accordance with our cancellation policy. These Conditions govern all bookings through stmawesescapes.com, which is a website owned by St Mawes Escapes of Moonfleet, Freshwater Lane, St Mawes, TR2 5AR (“St Mawes Escapes”). The booking arrangements are made by the St Mawes Escapes, on behalf of and as agent for the title holder(s) of the relevant property (“Owner”), and you, the customer (“Occupier”).
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer protection laws.
Liability
In consideration of the fact that St Mawes Escapes acts only as a booking agent, St Mawes Escapes accepts no liability whatsoever for any aspect of the arrangements. However, this does not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or that of the property owner. Although St Mawes Escapes uses all reasonable endeavours to ensure the accuracy of all information provided and the quality and facilities of the properties, no liability is accepted for any misrepresentation of property material or accommodation.
Security Deposits & Damage
If deductions are made from your security deposit, we will notify you with details. If you wish to dispute the charge, please contact us within 7 days of notification.
Behaviour Clause
If you or your party engage in behaviour that causes risk, offence, or significant disturbance to others, we reserve the right to terminate your booking. In such cases, no refund will be issued.
Pets
If you bring a pet without prior consent, we reserve the right to terminate your stay without refund. Additional cleaning charges may apply.
Force Majeure
In the event of government-imposed travel restrictions or force majeure events, we will work with you to reschedule your stay or offer a credit where possible.
Complaints Procedure
If a complaint cannot be resolved with the Owner, please contact us within 48 hours. If we cannot resolve it, we may refer the matter to an independent mediator.
Data Protection
We comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is available at stmawesescapes.com.
